Rolls Royce has unveiled an updated version of the Phantom, the car received a number of updates, including a number of visual improvements.
There’s also a new Rolls Royce Connected feature and the launch of a bespoke Phantom Platino.
The most obvious and important feature to keep is the overbearing presence of the Phantom. This was further enhanced by a new polished horizontal line between the daytime running lights above the Pantheon grille. This gives the Phantom a new and assertive modernity, reflecting its driverfocused character.
A subtle geometric change to the Pantheon grille makes the RR Honor Badge and the Spirit of Ecstasy Talisman more visible when viewed from the front. The grille itself is now highlighted, a feature that debuted and became popular in Ghost. The headlights are adorned with intricate, lasercut starlights, creating a visual connection to the Starlight headliner inside and adding even more surprise and delight to the Phantom’s presence at night.
The Phantom’s side profile retains RollsRoyce’s characteristic short front and long rear overhangs, long wheelbase and wide Cpillar, providing greater passenger privacy. The silhouette retains the elegant key lines that run from the Spirit of Ecstasy to the tapered back. The “split belt” line starts at the front fender and curves gently towards the tailgate, emphasizing the car’s long proportions from the dash to the axle, before gently descending to the lamplike taillights. The heavily clipped “waveline” creates a strong shadow, visually signaling the brand’s unrivaled “flying carpet ride”.
