On November 6, a truck and a car carrying drugs from Spain were stopped by a gendarmerie surveillance device. The latter consisted of surveillance and intervention platoons of the Haute-Savoie Gendarmerie, a departmental road safety squadron, supported by specialized surveillance teams from the Auvergne-Rhone-Alpes region and the Occitania Gendarmerie.
According to information received three days earlier, the military knew that a shipment of drugs from Spain would soon take place in Annecy.
In total, the police dog squads found 75 kilograms of marijuana hidden under the raised floor of the truck. Several luxury watches, 5,000 euros in cash and a pistol were found in the authors’ home. Six people involved in the case were jailed and brought to trial. The investigation continues within the framework of the judicial investigation.
