Classic RPG fans celebrated the return of one of the biggest names in the genre this September with Valkyrie Profile: Lenneth, which first appeared on the PSP in 2007 and was ported to mobile devices a few years ago with some graphical and user experience improvements. Unfortunately, Square Enix has released an official statement about a slight delay in its arrival on Sony’s current consoles, i.e. PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5. So much so that instead of being available on the PS Store on the 29th of this month, it will finally arrive on December 22nd of this years, almost three months later. Cause? You need more time to develop this port.
Valkyrie Profile: Lenneth Awaits on PlayStation
So, and despite the fact that this port of Valkyrie Profile: Lenneth is based on the mobile version that appeared a few years ago, the managers assured that they need a little more time to finish polishing the title when it hits the Playstation. Among the main innovations we find the ability to rewind the game or quick save whenever we want.
“A complex and moving story of the intertwining destinies of gods and mortals, rooted in Norse mythology and marked by revolutionary battles brought to life by one of the greatest soundtracks in video game history. Learn about the origins of the VALKYRIE franchise,” reads the official description.
For its part, the new video game in the saga, Valkyrie Elysium, is still slated for the same release date of September 29, 2022, the date the two games were supposed to arrive on PS4 and PS5. We’ll have to wait a little longer to get back to the origins of the PlayStation saga.
