Video game releases for week 18 in 2021

We are in the month of May, and finally the releases in terms of video games are starting to smell good in the spring. Here is the non-exhaustive list of the week’s outings.

The Colonists

A robot colony decides to leave Earth to build their own colony on a distant planet. Here is the basic plot of this building game, it is possible to take these machines through three different eras with several campaign missions that take place on a procedurally generated map. The Colonists also gives you the choice of building a Peace Colony or competing against other AI-run robot colonies. Finally, a map editor and Steam Workshop support allow the game community to create and trade their creations.

Dragon Quest Builders 2

Dragon Quest Builders 2 is a direct sequel to the first Builders. It is still a game of construction and exploration where we find environments and characters from the RPG series. The title brings new mechanics, new construction elements and deepens the gameplay of the first opus.

Dull Gray

Dull Gray offers an atypical choice game, because one and the same choice can lead to different ends. Awarded for his innovative side, Dull Gray deals with the little dramas of life, the mother / son relationship, the referee book and the search for happiness in a world where everything is gray. His universe is inspired by those of the Strugatsky brothers, Dostoyevsky and Tarkovsky.

Release scheduled for May 05, 2021, on Xbox One, Xbox Series and Nintendo Switch.

Save me Mr Tako: Definitive Edition

Save me Mr Tako: Tasukete Tako-San features an octopus who has been granted the gift of breathing out of water after saving a woman from drowning. Deeply pacifist, Tako, of his real name, will then go out of his way to stop a war which is raging between the members of his people and the humans of the mainland. The title is intended to be a real tribute to the games of the Game Boy generation and displays a retro style pronounced by its visuals and its music. A new version called Save me Mr Tako: Definitive Edition was released in 2021, bringing a major overhaul to the game.

Release scheduled for May 05, 2021, on Nintendo Switch and PC.

Highrisers is a survival RPG. In a desolate city, craft, explore and defend your 4 survivors against mysterious dreamers who haunt the places and mutants who roam the streets. You will therefore have to go through tall buildings and other skyscrapers to hope to survive.

Release scheduled for May 06, 2021, on PC (Steam).

Resident Evil Village

It is certainly the most anticipated title of the week, if not of the month. Resident Evil Village is the canonical eighth installment in Capcom’s horror game series. It takes place seven years after the events of Resident Evil 7 in Eastern Europe and we find Ethan as the main character. Other famous faces will make a comeback such as Chris Redfield and this opus introduces lycanthropy. We will meet werewolves and witches and the village is an important component of the adventure.

Release scheduled for May 07, 2021, on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series, PC and Stadia.
