Volkswagen EV suppliers reach 330,000 in 2022

Volkswagen’s EV shipments reached 330,000 vehicles in 2022, the company said EV shipments grew by 23.6 percent in 2022.

The company shipped a total of 4.5 million vehicles in 2022, so allelectric vehicles are still only a fraction of their total sales.

Imelda Labbe, Member of the Board of Directors for Sales, Marketing and Aftersales, said: “We achieved good sales results in 2022 despite persistent supply disruptions. The notable growth in the number of BEV models confirms that with our attractive product portfolio, we are on the right track to become the most desired sustainable mobility brand.” The roadmap is clear: with the ACCELERATE strategy, Volkswagen is accelerating its electric campaign with ten new electric models by 2026. Volkswagen already has the widest portfolio of electric models. By 2026, the brand will have the right product in every segment, from an entrylevel ecar with a target price of less than 25,000 euros to the new ID.7 flagship.

Volkswagen has already reached the first milestone in its EV campaign.
