Apple released iOS 16.1 beta 1 to developers yesterday, this software brings quite a few new features to the iPhone. The software arrived the same week that Apple released updates for iOS 16 and watchOS 9.
This includes some of the features that were expected in the release of iOS 16, which Apple obviously didn’t have time to complete by the time of release.
The video below from Zollotech gives us a glimpse of the new iOS 16.1 software update and its new features, let’s find out more details about what Apple has included in this new beta.
As you can see from the video, the iOS 16.1 software update brings quite a few new features to the iPhone.
This includes the battery percentage icon that was not shown on some devices such as the iPhone 11 in the iOS 16 software update. There have also been changes to the way the wallpaper and home screen are configured, this should make it easier to update the home screen.
Since this is the first beta version of iOS 16.1, it will be some time before the final version of the software is released, we expect it to be released sometime in October, it may arrive at the same time as iPadOS 16.1, Apple has just released the second beta version of this software.
