Since Elon Musk became the new boss of Twitter, there has been a lot of controversy, which provides an opportunity for competitors.
Indeed, the Platformer site announces Meta’s intent to create a social network similar to that of the bluebird. The latest information shows that the organization behind Facebook and Instagram wants to create its own Twitter, or at least something similar.
“We are exploring the idea of creating a decentralized social network for exchanging text. We believe there is an opportunity for a new, separate space where creators and public figures can share their interests.”
This statement shows that the future Meta project is very similar to Twitter, but the presence of an important element or new features may distinguish it from Elon Musk’s social network: the fact that it is decentralized.
Recall that Jack Dorsey, the founder of Twitter, had already created a decentralized network called Mastodon, where all users could use it and create their own space.
