Windows 11: 22H2 update causes big problems for Nvidia card owners

The Windows 11 22H2 update is available and some users are not very happy. Indeed, it does seem to cause some problems for those with an Nvidia graphics card.

The Windows 11 22H2 update has been released and brings many improvements such as compatibility with Android apps. But some users have noticed some annoying issues caused by the update.

As Bleeping Computer points out, more and more Reddit users are complaining about performance issues after this update. They all have one thing in common: they have an Nvidia graphics card installed in their computer.

Microsoft’s 22H2 update causes concern among gamers

The game seems to be experiencing a drastic drop in CPU performance in the middle of a game, resulting in framerate drops and even crashes: “I’m seeing insane slowdowns in my games. My CPU usage dropped significantly from 80% to 5%. The games are almost impossible to play,” writes this user. “I have huge slowdowns while playing. My brand new computer. Intel Core i9-12900K, 3080 Ti. Please fix this,” shouted another.

This is a very annoying problem, but it’s easy to fix. Indeed, when you return to a previous version of Windows 11, worries disappear as quickly as they appeared. Therefore, the 22H2 update should be noted.

Microsoft has announced that it has launched an investigation to determine the cause of the issue. Nvidia’s Manuel Guzmán also said he is aware of the issue and is asking Reddit users for more information if possible.

The anxiety seems to be widespread, but not systematic. At the time of writing, we haven’t seen any major issues with the game since the update. Therefore, if you are a victim of this, we advise you to go back to the previous version of Windows (this can be done in the settings) and wait a few days until everything is sorted out.

We remind you that update 22H2 is not yet available for everyone, the deployment is carried out one by one. However, you can download it manually using the Windows 11 ISO image.
