Microsoft is behind the new preview of Windows 11. This build 25145 is being offered on the DEV Insider channel. We have important new features.
Available in a few hours, Windows 11 Build 25145 improves accessibility with Narrator Braille driver support. At the same time, we find the management of storage alerts and OneDrive subscriptions in the settings.
Local administrator password solution announced. As always, fixes are aimed at improving the operation of the operating system as a whole. For example, a black screen issue on Surface Pro X when waking up from sleep has been fixed.
Regarding braille speaker driver support, Microsoft explains
“Braille devices will continue to work when you switch between Narrator and third-party screen readers because Narrator automatically switches braille drivers. »
To use this feature, you must uninstall Narrator’s current braille support if it’s already installed.
Windows 11 build 25145, new features and bug fixes
The old LAPS product is now part of Windows. LAPS, short for Local Administrator Password Solution, includes new features. However, Redmond notes that the documentation is not yet available. We have some fixes and improvements. This whole world is about the OS as a whole, the function of suggested actions, the file explorer, the Start menu, the taskbar and settings. Microsoft offers through the central click on the file in Explorer to open directly in a new window.
While in the DEV channel, it is not recommended to install this build on a working PC. We have known issues that have not been resolved at this time. They concern File Explorer, the Widgets module and live subtitles.
