Windows 11 Insider Preview Build Update 22622.450 fixes more bugs

Microsoft is launching two new Insider Preview builds for Windows 11 on the beta channel. Newly released versions have version numbers 22621.450 and 22622.450. Obviously, both builds are incremental updates from last week’s Insider Preview builds 22621.440 and 22622.440. The new incremental update contains many fixes in the beta channel. Microsoft is releasing a new Beta Channel cumulative update with build number 10.0.22622.450 (KB5016700). As with last week’s beta, new features are available for 22622.450 and new features for 22621.450 are not enabled by default. But you can still try the new features by installing an incremental update on your computer. If you select the beta testing channel in the Windows Insider Preview Program, you will receive a real-time update.

Moving on to the changes, the latest version fixes a lot of known issues, the list includes tablet mode features displayed on non-touch devices, a blank task view section in some application windows, and fixed an issue with error code 0x80070026 when copying files. to network drives, Edge not responding in IE mode, and other issues.

The update also improves Microsoft Defender for Endpoint’s ability to detect and intercept ransomware and advanced attacks, improves low-bandwidth storage replication, and more. Here is a complete list of fixes and known issues.

Windows 11 Insider Preview Build 22621.450 and 22622.450 Fixes

  • New! We’ve improved the ability of Microsoft Defender for Endpoints to detect and intercept ransomware and advanced attacks.
  • New! We compressed the file regardless of its size if you configured server message block (SMB) compression.
  • New! We’ve improved storage replication that occurs on low bandwidth networks or congested Wide Area Networks (WANs).
  • We fixed an issue that caused Windows to display tablet mode features for some non-touch devices.
  • We fixed an issue that caused some application windows to have blank sections in the Task View preview.
  • We have fixed an issue some of you were having when copying files from network drives. Error code 0x80070026.
  • We fixed a token leak issue in LsapGetClientInfoEx.
  • We fixed an issue that caused sihost.exe to use a large amount of CPU resources in some cases.
  • We fixed an issue that caused Microsoft Edge to become unresponsive in IE mode. This issue also prevents you from interacting with the dialog.

Windows 11 Insider Preview Build 22621.450 and 22622.450 – Known Issues

  • General
    • There is an issue in the latest beta channel updates that is causing the Photos app to crash and a fix will be released soon via an update to the Photos app via the Store.
    • We are investigating reports of SQL Server Management Studio being unable to start for some Insiders.
    • [NEW] We’re investigating reports that audio stopped working for some Insiders after updating to Build 22622.440.
  • Conductor
    • The left half of the File Explorer title bar cannot be dragged with the mouse or by touch.
    • The up arrow has been shifted on Explorer tabs. This will be fixed in a future update.

If you joined the Insider Preview through the beta testing channel and are using Windows 11, you will receive the new update. You can get one of two builds, and if you get build 22621.440, you will have the option to upgrade to build 22622.440.

You can simply go to Settings > Windows Update > click on Check for Updates. And from there, you can simply install the update on your computer.
