Announced at BlizzCon in early November 2019, the Shadowlands expansion will soon be approached by a handful of selected players.
Indeed, Blizzard announces on the game blog than first wave of closed beta invitations to be sent this week, even if no specific date is advanced. The developer indicates that the players concerned will mainly be those with a long active account, accompanied by journalists and relatives of the company’s employees.
However, Blizzard specifies that the first wave will only represent a small fraction of the number of players who will eventually have access to beta. In terms of content, the first players will be able to access Bastion, one of the four areas making up Shadowland, and in which they can progress normally while exploring one of the dungeons, Necrotic Wake. Revendreth, the haunted area populated by ghosts, should integrate World of Warcraft: Shadowlands by the end of the month, as well as a first glimpse of Torghast, the endless dungeon.
