While Netflix and other subscription services already offer family plans, gamers have long been asking Microsoft to provide Xbox Game Pass with such a subscription. We learned a few months ago that Microsoft is creating a new family plan for Game Pass with the intention of launching sometime in 2022. If the full release of this Game Pass family plan hasn’t happened yet, Microsoft is already testing it out nonetheless. this version of the service in certain territories.

Indeed, the first version of this family subscription is available today in Colombia and Ireland, and testers will be able to add up to four people to their subscription if they are in the same country.

Microsoft is releasing a new family subscription for Xbox Game Pass.

If you’re in one of these two countries, you can now purchase an Xbox Game Pass – Insider Preview subscription from the Microsoft Store, but registrations are limited. If you are already a Game Pass member, the remaining time of your subscription will be converted into its cash value. One month of Game Pass Ultimate is equivalent to 18 days of the Family Offer. So we can conclude that this new subscription could cost around 25 euros, or about 5 euros per person.

This Game Pass family subscription puts members (up to 5 people per family) on the same tier as Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, giving subscribers access to over 100 games for PC and Xbox consoles. You can also find a list of new games for August 2022.

Therefore, the appearance of a new family subscription is good news, but the subscription has some limitations. First of all, the people with whom you share your subscription do not have to be Insiders, but must live in the same country as you. In addition, conversion is not available for members of guest groups. Before joining a group, a group member can cancel an existing subscription or wait for it to expire.
