Gucci now supports ApeCoin (APE) payments at select US stores. In the spring, the Florentine Claw began accepting crypto payments.
On Twitter yesterday, Gucci announced support for ApeCoin (APE) cryptocurrency payments as part of its pilot introduced earlier in May with BitPay in the US.
Now, by accepting @ApeCoin payments via @BitPay, select Gucci boutiques in the US are expanding the range of cryptocurrencies available for in-store purchases, another step in the House of Web3 exploration.

Over the past few months, the fashion house has been accepting a number of cryptocurrencies such as bitcoin, ethereum, shiba inu and stablecoins in several of its stores (US only) as a means of payment.
For its part, ApeCoin welcomed the news and stated that Gucci is becoming “the first major brand” to allow its customers to pay for their purchases with their digital coin. We remind you that APE is a native token of the Bored Ape Yacht Club ecosystem.
Gucci is very interested in Web3 technologies. The luxury brand has already released several NFT collections. At the beginning of the year, she also entered the virtual world of The Sandbox.
