Behind this new cyber attack are members of the Lockbit 3.0 group, the same malicious hackers as Corbeil-Essonne Hospital, Westmount City of Quebec, Exco accounting firms, Office d’Equipement Hydraulique de Corse, Folkemont City, machines from Thales Group and 394 other companies with July 2022.
For the city of Brunoy, a countdown of 9 days and three amounts have been announced. $1,000 to delay the distribution of stolen information (the hackers do not specify the type of potentially recovered documents); $120,000 to destroy what was to be exfiltrated. $120,000 to recover stolen documents.
As stated on the municipal website, “Brunoy’s computer network suffered a crypto attack this weekend.
