The history of gaming is full of ridiculous accessories and add-ons. Powerglove comes to mind, as does the Xbox Kinect. But Microsoft’s latest gaming accessory may just be the cutest little thing I’ve ever seen, insecurely and unnecessarily tied to a gaming gadget: a hoodie for your controller.
The Xbox Mini Hoodie is exactly what it sounds like: a tiny jacket to keep your controller warm. According to the Xbox store - yes, it’s an official Microsoft product! - It’s made from 100% polyester and comes with a tiny zipper and hood.

Functionally, I suppose you might argue that the hood acts as an entry point for the charging cable. But who are we kidding? It’s just damn cute. Style conscious can buy it in white or black to match or complement your controller’s color. I’m partial to the Xbox green lining on black, but the faux camo pattern on white has a certain charm.
A tiny windbreaker for your controller costs just $24.99, which is about half the cost of the controller itself. And, before you scoff, someone is definitely buying these things, because the initial batch is already sold out. Place an order today and it will be delivered at the end of February. They’ll presumably work on your PlayStation or Switch controller too, but you know how unreliable cross-brand sizing can be.
