Elon Musk: Apple ads resumed on Twitter

Elon Musk recently had a dispute with Apple. Indeed, the CEO of Twitter has repeatedly criticized Apple, in particular for having freedom of expression issues, submitting requests for moderation, and stopping advertising spending on Twitter.

Everything indicated that relations between the two parties would deteriorate, especially when Elon Musk said that Apple had threatened to remove Twitter from its App Store. The billionaire even put forward a hypothesis about creating his own smartphone with his own operating system. But it would seem that these disputes began because of a misunderstanding and that Elon Musk and Apple are working hand in hand again.

Dispute due to misunderstanding

After Elon Musk’s unflattering statements about Apple, the Twitter leader went to meet with Apple CEO Tim Cook. It would seem that a meeting of the two leaders took place, and according to its terms, any disputes came to naught. Tim Cook even showed Apple Park to Elon Musk.

The Twitter executive later held a two-hour chat on Twitter Space, during which he said that Apple had “completely resumed” its Twitter ads. Elon Musk even noted that Apple is Twitter’s biggest advertiser.

Apple brings more than 100 million a year to Twitter

According to Elon Musk, the dispute began due to a misunderstanding about the possible removal of Twitter from the App Store. He said that Tim Cook made it clear that “Apple never thought about it.” In addition, Apple has not commented on the state of its advertising spending on Twitter, or rather, whether it intends to put an end to it.

In any case, according to Mac Rumors, Apple is indeed one of the main advertisers of Twitter. His spending on the platform in terms of advertising will also total more than $100 million a year. Additionally, Elon Musk took to his Twitter Space thread to thank advertisers for coming back to Twitter.
