Released in early access in early 2021, Everspace 2 continues to receive major updates from its developer, Rockfish games. After adding a French localization earlier this year, the game is now focusing on endgame content, one of the promises of its successful Kickstarter.
This update will increase the difficulty of a mission before it launches through various modifiers that will proportionally increase profits if successful. To prevent players from abusing loopholes in order to win without risk, they will have to quickly eliminate enemies while keeping their hull intact, otherwise they will be thrown out of the area if they are too slow or are destroyed.
In addition, the game also features an updated progression system offering “a balance between those who love challenges and those who want to feel strong throughout the game”, new ship options, and new legendary weapons.
