Season 3 has just begun and DICE is already telling us about the next new features coming in 2023 for Battlefield 2042. The map from Battlefield 4 will return from time to time, as well as the class system.

Although Battlefield 2042 has just celebrated its first year of existence, the developers continue to work hard to attract players again. The next seasons 4 and 5 will see the return of the class system, as well as a redesign of two very different maps. The latter will be specifically designed for close combat. Update 3.1 will change the manifest map, bringing flags closer to in-game actions.
The next update (3.2) will be dedicated to the Rupture map in a completely new version. The oil rig will change position to provide better gameplay. This 4th season will mark the end of the 1st year since the beginning of 2023.
